You don't know what you don't know and you are unconscious of everything you are unconscious of!
Our unconscious mind is a fathomless place, it contains the possibility of everything we can imagine and far far more. What is most surprising about it is that it stores and hides an incredible amount of information about who we are, what we believe to be true, right, false, wrong and what the potential consequences for going against any of that information are.
We simply have no idea what a powerful force in our lives our unconscious is. Carl Jung referred to it as the shadow self, that which we deny, distort or repress about ourselves, but is never the less alive and active in our immediate world.
Having both positive and negative traits and emotions, it contains all the things that we feel deeply affected by in our environment and yet seems powerless against or are not responsible for. This might include people who attitudes or behaviours are unacceptable to us, that wind us up and leave us feeling severely agitated or upset. Or people who's gifts are so amazing that we don't feel worthy to have relationships with them. All of which leave us feeling like we have an impoverished sense of self and make the environment and what's in it seeming bigger than we are.
Shadow Self Workshops are there to help you restore the balance between your persona and its shadow to give you a greater, healthier and more complete sense of your ego self, by naming these disowned aspects and reintegrating them into a useful form for daily life. Reducing the amount of reaction, tension and stress we experience.
These Shadow Self experiences will help you to identify and reclaim the parts of yourself that have been ignored, denied and disowned by the self.

We all carry parts of ourselves that in times past became separated from our identity in moments of fear or trauma, leaving us unable to acknowledge and integrate these parts of ourselves into our whole.
In these workshops we will:
Learn what the shadow self is and how to recognize it in action
Acknowledge, connect to and reintegrate our shadow self
Learn why some people or situations give us great emotional 'charge', causing us intense stress and anxiety
Develop methods to better manage these situations and recognize how our shadow self is trying to support us.
See the shadow self as an ally to encourage greater harmony and inclusion in our lives
Release the debilitation of 'types of people' who stress or upset us
Develop a better relationship with yourself and tools for improved self-management
This gentle and accepting process of looking at our dark hidden nature can help to release many limitations and significantly reduce wasted energy and stress in our lives.
Details for upcoming courses, which are typically run twice a year, can be found in the events section of the website. The workshops can be run on request for small groups and can be tailored to be 1 day intensive corporate training days to help those in management or with responsibility for others (teachers, carers, parents).
