In the last of this series of posts on the importance of Integral Life Practice, we will look at the importance of address our shadow self at some level. This is considered by Wilber and Pattern one the 4 core modules that must be addressed if there is going to be a truly balanced and integral practice for self development. This is also why I run a regular Reclaiming Your Shadow workshop to help people get a basic understanding what the shadow is and how to work with it.
For the third part in this series looking at the importance of having an Integral Life Practice (ILP) we shall be taking a look at the other significant dimension of the body, Diet. By this we do not mean a diet plan per say, as generally those are quite difficult for a large portion of the population as they come with the stigma of success or failure. In this post we will look at how to reframe our idea of diet to take off a significant amount of the pressure and just enlist your common sense. All this by using what I think is the simplest diet plan ever with a few refinements of my own thrown in.
This series of blogs is looking at the importance of having an Integral Life Practice. That is a daily practice that supports and encourages our health, wellbeing and conscious development. By having a more structured framework which is both distilled, scalable and is comprehesively addressing body, mind and spirit in self, culture and nature; we are more likely to live a life that we are motivated and inspired to live. In this second part we will begin to look at what is represented in the Body module.
Integral Life Practice (ILP) is an approach to well-being, awareness and transformation that works unsurprisingly Integrally!
Rather than just focus on merely one aspect of the Self, ILP brings a whole and balanced approach to realising the full spectrum of your being. This gives us a kind of spiritual cross-training that supports the development of different aspects of the self which actually speeds up the developmental process by ensuring at all aspects of the self are being worked with.
